texburgher:

The New River Gorge Bridge.
The New River Gorge Bridge, in West Virginia, is the longest steel-arch bridge in the western hemisphere. You can base jump from it like a lot of other crazy fools if you want to. Or, you can sit serenely atop the gorge and meditate on any of a variety of topics. If you’re me, the variety of topics would be limited to acrophobia, which is why it’s so amazing that I took this picture yesterday.
I EXPECT A HEART FOR MY BRAVERY.

This arouses my gephyrophobia something fierce. This is why I can’t live on the U.P. or the Keys.
Gulp. Heart racing. Make it go away!
