Over smoothies yesterday afternoon, Edan and I discussed the merits of @alydenisof. E: “I really like Alyson Hannigan. I can’t decide if she’s better as Willow or Lily.” (He then went on to say how it doesn’t seem like she’s done many movies, and I chose to gloss over my beloved American Pies. For now.) M: “She is pretty amazing. I mean, she’s smart and funny—and hello, she’s nice! Like, in real life she seems really nice!” E: “And nobody looks like her, with her red hair and big eyes…” He trailed off, clearly smitten. I smiled. “Yeah…” So thank you. Thank you, Alyson, for putting the stir in my eleven-year-old’s pubescent heart. I’m so glad it was you, because I really do think you kick ass.
